it's possible people who won't take OP seriously will take a dude

I
simply figured that she likely didn't have male friends because her husband
wouldn't be okay with it and that she may have been isolated from her friends
or family. That's all, not saying women can't have male friends or anything,
just that I assumed OP didn't have male friends at this point.
