Unable to piece together exactly what happened overnight, he goes about his day like any other affluent teenager in Los Angeles—attending school, relaxing on the beach with his (at this point, secret) boyfriend, showing up to a debauched house party—before it becomes clear these are a more pivotal 24 hours than they initially seemed. First, Tunde comes out as gay to his parents; then, on his way to see friends, he is stopped in his car by police under dubious circumstances and is fatally shot. Then, without fail, he awakes again.
