It may be “xxpensive” to be Erika Jayne, but as of today, it’s a little less expensive to dress like her. As the undisputed style star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Jayne has spent the past five years charming viewers with her avant-garde style and self-effacing humor. Now, she’s opening up her closet to sell some of her sartorial treasures on Vestiaire Collective, with pieces ranging from the $200 mark up to the many thousands.
“I have two closets, but they’re overflowing, so I decided it’s time to let some other people love these beautiful garments,” Jayne explains over the phone from her home in Los Angeles. Are those two rooms in place to accommodate both sides of her personality? Anyone who’s watched Jayne on Housewives knows there is Erika Girardi, wife to one of America’s leading trial lawyers, and then Erika Jayne, the provocative pop star packing out gay clubs from the Meatpacking District to Mykonos in slinky bodysuits and thigh-high boots. “You’ll see a bit of both, actually,” she says. “There are pieces from both parts of my life.” How can we spot the difference between the two? “I think that Erika Jayne takes it to a little bit more of a theatrical level, and I could say that Erika Girardi is a little bit more subdued,” she says, before laughing. “But just a little bit.”
